Open Courses Terms and Conditions of Use

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for open courses delivered by Improv4Business (“we”, “us”,“our”). By booking a place on any open course, you agree to these Terms &Conditions.

1) Bookings

Bookings may be made via our website, payment link, email, or approved booking form.

A booking is confirmed when either

  • full payment has been received; or
  • we have accepted an invoice booking in writing.

For invoice bookings, places are held provisionally until payment is received in accordance with Section 3.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings wherereasonably necessary.

2) Prices & VAT

All prices are shown in GBP (£) and are exclusiveof VAT unless otherwise stated.

VAT will be charged where applicable at the prevailing rate.

Prices may be updated for future course dates at any time. Confirmed bookings will not be affected.

3) Payment Terms

Card Payments

All card bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Invoice Bookings

Where payment by invoice is agreed, payment must be made within 7 calendar days of the invoice date.

If the course start date is sooner than 7 days, payment mustbe made before the course date and according to the accelerated terms below.

Accelerated Payment Terms

For bookings made close to the course date:

  • Within 14 days of the course: payment due within 48 hours
  • Within 7 days of the course: payment due within 24 hours
  • Within 48 hours of the course: immediate payment required before attendance

Places remain provisional until payment is received. We reserve the right to release unpaid places if payment is overdue.

4) Cancellations, Refunds & Transfers

We understand that plans can change

Delegate Cancellation by You

30 or more days before the course date

You may choose either:

  • a full refund; or
  • one free transfer to another available course date.

8 to 29 days before the course date

You may choose either:

  • a 50% refund; or
  • one transfer to another available date.

7 days or less before the course date

No refund will be payable.

Named substitute delegates may attend at no additional charge (see Section 5).

5) Delegate Substitutions

If the original delegate can no longer attend, anotherdelegate from the same organisation may attend in their place at no additionalcost.

Please notify us in advance where possible.

6) Transfer Policy

Each booking includes one complimentary transfer.

Any further transfer requests may:

  • incur an administration fee; or
  • be treated in line with the cancellation terms set out in Section 4.

Transferred bookings must be used within 6 months of the originalcourse date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to attend a transferred booking may result in lossof fees paid.

7) Non-Attendance

Failure to attend a booked course without prior notice willbe treated as a cancellation and no refund will be payable.

8) Changes or Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule,relocate, or make reasonable changes to a course where necessary. This mayinclude changes to trainer, timings, venue, or course content.

If we cancel a course, you may choose either:

9) Venues & Delivery Format

Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the affectedbooking. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, loss of earnings, orany indirect costs.

10) Course Materials

We may change the venue within the same city or local areawhere reasonably necessary.

Where events outside our reasonable control make in-person delivery impracticable, we may offer:

  • No refunds once:
    • PSTI has started
    • Coaching has been booked or delivered
  • transfer to another available course date.

11) Delegate Conduct

All course materials, handouts, slides, workbooks, templates, recordings, and resources remain our intellectual property unless otherwise stated.

Materials are provided for personal or internal business useonly and may not be copied, reproduced, shared publicly, sold, or commercially distributed without prior written permission.

13) Certificates & CPD

We aim to provide a professional, safe, and supportivelearning environment.

We reserve the right to remove any delegate whose behaviouris disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, unsafe, or prevents others fromparticipating effectively.

No refund will be payable in such circumstances.

12) Accessibility & Dietary Requirements

Please inform us in advance of any accessibilityrequirements, learning needs, or dietary requirements.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requestswhere practicable.

  • “PSTI” and “Public Speaking Threats Inventory” are registered trademarks
  • online delivery
  • transfer to another course date
  • refund of fees paid

Where applicable, delegates may receive:

  • a certificate of attendance; and/or
  • CPD hours or CPD accreditation information.

CPD accreditation applies only to courses specifically advertised as CPD accredited.

14) Photography & Recording

Delegates may not record audio or video of any coursewithout our prior written consent.

Any photography or promotional content created by us at acourse will only be used with appropriate consent where required.

15) Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • any other liability which cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Subject to the above, our total liability arising from any booking shall not exceed the fees paid for that booking.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, oreconomic loss.

16) Data Protection & Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our PrivacyPolicy.

This may include information required to:

  • process bookings
  • issue invoices
  • send joining instructions
  • deliver courses
  • provide certificates
  • manage customer service

17) Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdictionof the courts of England and Wales.
